The Lord of Light Art series was envisioned and designed by Barry Ira Geller and Jack Kirby, drawn with incendiary brilliance by Jack and inked with devastating intensity by Mike Royer. Each Kirby architectual masterpiece was created both as a film set design and theme park illustration. All Limited Edition Lord of Light Kirby Art Prints are made on heavy coated photographic archival/museum quality contact paper, individually printed from **full size negatives** (20"x24") of the original signed artwork. All Limited Edition Lord of Light Kirby Art Prints come with reproductions of the Certificates of Authorization which Jack Kirby signed for Sothebys in 1993.

Jack Kirby: The Pavilions of Joy drawing was really created for views into architectural rendering of sections of Science Fiction Land. We started with ideas of what Brahma's "Pavilion of Joys"might look like, but somehow progressed onto a 1000 foot street of statues of the Gods. Jack threw the Mahasamatman ("Lord of Light") statue commandingly looking down the avenue and away we went! Lord of Light: Just your standard everyday lineup of 80 foot statues of the Gods looking over your shoulder, as you walk down the street! Can they really read your thoughts? Does Yama's mind-probe device, which is fabled to "pick up a man's thoughts which they don't like out of a crowd" really work? Hmmm..... Science Fiction Land: Within the production plan of the motion picture, "Lord of Light," shall be constructed a set known as the Pavilions of Joy. After completing principle photography in this area, permanent construction shall begin causing an areas of Science Fiction Land to be formed and known as " Show Street." "Show Street" shall consist of sixteen (16) Las Vegas style dinner theaters that shall be the international thrust on the grounds of Science Fiction Land. The initial plan outlines the street to be approximately 1500-2000 feet long, featuring eight 1000-seat dinner theaters on each side. Each theater will feature shows and food which typifies the country it represents. |
Each
print is hand numbered from 1 to 100. Numbers 1 through 10 are reserved for the Producers' and Kirby
families. All are signed by the Producer
(including Jack's original signature), and accompanied by a reproduction of the signed Providence Documentation by Jack
Kirby. Each print and Document is embossed with the original film company's corporate stamp, to insure value and unique quality.
